Mitch Presented at South Range High School

Supported by the Portage Health Foundation (PHF) Undergraduate Fellowship, Mitch presented to the South Range High School science classes to explain the research being conducted in the biomedical engineering program at MTU. Specifically, he focused on research being done in Dr. Zhao’s lab. The talk explained the impact and current progress in the stem cell and tissue engineering field, which provided a better understanding of what a biomedical engineer does and significantly inspired interests in the high school students in the rural area like the UP (Upper Peninsula) of Michigan.
